About The Artist
Eric Boss is a South Philly based Electronic Music Producer & DJ. He started studying music and learning to DJ at the age of 9. He attended The Institute of Audio Research in NYC. For the last 3 years Eric has worked along side Grammy Winning engineer, Jon Smeltz in "The Roots studio". Semltz is also known for his work with the likes of Prince, Usher, Kanye West, Lauryn Hill & more. During his time in the studio Eric built a working relationship with former Roots Producer, Dameadelphia. Eric's had his music featured on The Fader, Complex, Okayplayer & more. He's shared the stage with artists like D.R.A.M., Too Many Zooz, Swizzymack, G-Buck, DJ Tim Dolla, Chill Moody & others. He has both hosted & performed at iconic Philly venues like The Foundry, Legendary Dobbs, The Fire, Raven Lounge, Milkboy & events like Mad Decent Monday. Eric is the DJ for Philly based emcee AIME. Alongside Max Swan, Eric is a founding member of AIME's band, the Nxn Believers. In addition, he has earned himself the resident DJ position for the art series, Tiny Room For Elephants.
From curating shows to releasing club remixes, Eric Boss has established himself as a contributing figure in the Philly music scene. So far this year Eric Boss has released two projects, The Book of David (Remix EP) and Dabs & Bacon. One being a remix interpretation of AIME's Book of David and the other being a collaborative instrumental project with Joey Stix, drummer of the Ill Fated Natives. On September 29th, Eric will be releasing his debut single featuring Philly vocalist, Harrowgrove. On this single Eric dives into the world of Trip-Hop with heavy chords and lots of bass.
